We currently seek a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our team in Sacramento CA. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring our energy storage systems meet all regulatory and certification standards. More specifically, managing compliance with the AVL lists, utilities, AHJs, and UL certification process and ensuring compliance with industry safety standards.

Responsibilities
- Oversees compliance with AVL lists, utilities, AHJs, and UL certification process UL certification process for our products, including documentation and testing coordination.
- Maintains latest knowledge of regulatory requirements specific to energy storage systems and ensures compliance.
- Works closely with engineering, QA, and operations teams to implement certification requirements.
- Serves as the primary liaison between the company and certifying bodies.
- Develops and maintains regulatory documentation, including technical files and compliance reports.
- Monitors updates to industry standards and implements necessary changes.
- Serves as the primary contact for regulatory agencies, managing certifications, inspections, and reporting requirements.
- Provides training to internal teams on regulatory updates and compliance protocols specific to energy storage and manufacturing.
- Performs all other duties assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in regulatory compliance or certification processes.
- Understanding of UL standards(e.g., UL 9540, UL1973), and familiarity with IEC and ISO standards.
- Expertise with rules pertain to the regulatory frameworks, codes, and standards that govern electrical installations, energy systems, and related infrastructure.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
